To celebrate the 2021 Hale ‘Aina Awards, HONOLULU Magazine and our presenting sponsor First Hawaiian Bank & Mastercard have launched a series of collaborative dinners that will feature unique menus only available for one night.
As part of our Hale ‘Aina Dinner Series, you’re invited to an exclusive four-course meal on Nov. 4 with Hau Tree, who won gold for Best Outdoor Dining. Enjoy cocktail pairings designed by Jen Ackrill, veteran mixologist paired with delicious bites by the team at Hau Tree.

Burrata & Beet Salad w/ arugula, crostini, trout roe, olive tapenade, cherry tomato, & lemon vinaigrette

Seared Hamachi w/ shichimi, finger lime, compressed asian pear, yuzu dashi, marinated tomato, wakame, & mint oil

Butternut Squash Risotto w/ crispy ginger scallion red snapper & carrot juice reduction

ABOUT JEN ACKRILL
Jen Ackrill is a veteran mixologist based in Honolulu, where she has headed up cocktail programs for the top bars and food festivals for nearly a decade. Most recently, Jen oversaw the highly successful cocktail menu at Sky and Top of Waikīkī. She currently serves as Beverage Director at Kaimana Beach Hotel and Hau Tree, the best spot in Waikīkī to enjoy sunset cocktails. The Hau Tree cocktail menu is designed for the liquid traveler; whether they are visiting the hotel or just stopping in for a quick pau hana drink, there is a cocktail for every person, from the sometimes forgotten vodka soda fan to the nerdy cocktailian. The drinks are designed to excite and pique conversation with nods to the classics and reworks of some favorite beach cocktails.
